PRINTFARM AND CORAL PARK ELEMENTARY PUT THEIR "GREEN THUMBS" TO GOOD USE TO KICK-OFF EARTH DAY

~ PrintFarm & Students will Plant a New Garden on Campus ~

Feb. 25, 2010

WHAT:
As a proud partner of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS), the staff at PrintFarm, a Miami-based full-service printing company, will assist the Pre-K students of Coral Park Elementary kick-off Earth Day with the planting of a new garden.

PrintFarm will be providing the school with the plants and supplies needed to create a beautiful new garden in the playground area on campus. Assisting PrintFarm will be the school's Pre-K students as well as a group of eighth graders. Along with the planting of the garden, PrintFarm's staff will also be speaking to the kids about how to properly maintain their garden and about the butterflies that each plant in the garden attracts.

Throughout the day, students, parents, teachers and school staff participating in this activity will be treated to delicious snacks provided by Greenie Tots and Todo Frio Ice Cream & More, as well as water provided by Florida International University's Young Urban Professional Alumni. The Pre-K students will also receive a learning collateral piece from PrintFarm, which they will be able to take home with them.

BACKGROUND: PrintFarm believes in giving back to the community. This year, the company partnered with the MDCPS to launch a year-long, two-fold campaign to support different initiatives throughout the school year. The campaign lends a hand to various MDCPS offices, as well as staff members, teachers and students in elementary, middle and high schools. To date, PrintFarm has not only assisted the MDCPS by printing collateral materials for various events, such as Teacher of the Year, Principal for a Day, School Volunteers & Dade Partners Exemplary Awards, at no cost, but has also assisted Coral Park Elementary with their participation in this year's Autism Walk held on Sunday, February 21st. Additionally, PrintFarm is working with Doral Middle to bring back the school's newspaper, which has not been printed in a few years.

PrintFarm opened its doors in 2000 and since then has been providing high quality printed products at the most affordable prices.
